It’s that time of year where we pay our dues to the great Rabbie Burns – ‘Scottish national poet’, waxer lyrical on haggis, mice and red, red roses.
We at The Sun Tavern have teamed up with Glennfiddich IPA to create a Scotch-heavy cocktail in tribute to the Ploughman Poet, available on Burns’ Night – Tam o’ Shanter.
Available for £6, Glenfiddich IPA, Cocchi Torino, Dolin dry, cardamom syrup & Abbott’s bitters all come together to bear a drink of depth.
If you prefer your Scotch a little neater, there’s our award winning whisky list to work through!
As it’s tradition on Burns’ Night to have a Burns supper and ‘address the haggis’, we’ll plating up haggis Scotch eggs absolutely free.
We’ll have Tastes Of Ink performing some spoken word – you can expect a rendition or two of Burns’ finest pieces as the nectar loosens the tongue, and to round it all off, we’ll have Rennie from Scottish legends, The View, DJing until the wee hours.
Come and raise a dram!
