BURNS' NIGHT AT THE SUN TAVERN

25th of January  is the day we pay our dues to the great Rabbie Burns – ‘Scottish national poet’, waxer lyrical on haggis, mice and red, red roses.

We’ve teamed up with Aberfeldy 12yr, to create an exclusive cocktail menu for the evening, all available for £9.50, plus a Beer and a Bump with an Umbrella Ginger Beer coupled with a shot of Aberfeldy 15 Year Old finished in Sémillon casks from Cadillac.

As it’s tradition on Burns’ Night to have a Burns supper, we’ll be plating up Haggis canapes from Broadway Market stalwarts, Deeney’s, absolutely free. A vegan option will also be available.

At 5pm we will host a free Aberfeldy whisky tasting paired with cheeses supplied by Hackney Road’s fine food specialists Provisions. Guests will try different expressions of Aberfeldy including a very special Aberfeldy 21 Year Old finished in Malbec casks from Argentina.

There will be an ‘Address To The Haggis’ and a rendition or two of Burns’ best works as the nectar loosens the tongue. To round it all off, Scottish fashion icon, Pam Hogg, will be on the decks with a Scottish heavy DJ set.
