NON-SPECIFIC JUBILEE BANK HOLIDAY SPECIAL
We are celebrating the Jubilee in our own special way – summoning the spirit of the Silver Jubilee in 1977, they have Paul Cook from The Sex Pistols – famous for their own rendition of God Save The Queen – on the decks on 3rd June.
On 2nd June BBC 6Music’s Don Letts will be joining us for a DJ Set spanning time, space and genre (and heavy on the Reggae no doubt!). Plus, on 4th June, Umbrella Radio’s Paul Day will be on the decks with a special Punk & New Wave set.
In addition, they have created an exclusive cocktail available for 7 days for £7, for the Queen’s 70th year on the throne. Lending a lyric from The Pistols’ homage to Liz, and leaning heavily on British produce, England’s Dreaming is a take on the classic Floradora and is brimming with Bombay Sapphire Gin, Umbrella London Ginger Beer, The Queen’s favourite tipple – Dubonnet, and bergamot bitters as a nod to Earl Grey Tea. It’s a light, fruity & floral number, with a fiery kick from the ginger beer.
