International Poitín Day 2019
International Poitín Day is almost here and to celebrate we’ve partnered with Bán Poitín and Mad March Hare for a bartender swap between yours truly and Dublin’s Bar 1661. Two Events, Two Cities, One Night. A collaborative menu features three drinks from each bar all priced at £7 including Bar 1661’s world famous Belfast Coffee and The Sun Tavern’s very own John Doe, Kneecapper, and Beer and a Bump.
Head to Dublin to see Jamie Jones and Ross Painter behind the bar or pitch up a stool with us to hang out with Gillan Boyle and Luke O’Meara at 441 Bethnal Green Road. Bartenders go live from 6pm and at 7pm both bars will host an informal tasting for all and sundry, dispelling myths that it’s just bread, banana and barley.
