The Sun Tavern Turns Six

In a change to the lively scheduling of years passed, The Sun Tavern will be holding a socially distanced birthday party in honour of everyone who turned another year older during lockdown. So, if your birthday falls between March and October, this is for you.

In lieu of a DJ, The Sun Tavern has partnered with notorious baker and TST regular Lily Vanilli to create a bespoke whiskey birthday cake made with Sailor’s Home Irish Whiskey which will be given out to those guests robbed of their birthday this year, for free from 5pm onward, with candles and a rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ by Scottish post punk band Altered Images – recorded, not live, alongside general birthday revelry.

Guests will be asked to bring ID in order to claim their free cake, and groups are limited to six as per social distancing regulations. Track and Trace systems are in place, all of our staff wear face coverings and hand sanitizer is administered upon entry. Please note, this event is subject to change dependent on any new legislations introduced between now and then.
