The Umbrella Project at Filthy XIII
2020 looks set to be a big one for us at The Umbrella Project as we gear up for a year of monthly takeovers around the world. January saw us follow the river westwards, taking the tone down a notch at Portobello’s Electric House and for February we’re going west again, all the way to sunny Bristol. We’ve teamed up with everyone’s favourite Cocktail and Hot Dog joint Filthy XIII for a night of romance on February 14thwith our very own East London Romeos – Ross Painter and Matt Green. John Bandit of Umbrella Radio will be providing the tunes, bringing a taste of our signature rough-and-ready-good-time vibes to Bristol and beyond in partnership with Mangrove.
A six strong cocktail menu includes smash hits from The Sun Tavern and Discount Suit Company including Winchester Goose (Black Cow Vodka, French Vermouth, Giffard Green Melon, Gooseberry Shrub), Put Ya Dukes Up John (Old Forester Bourbon, Bán Poitin, Citrus, Giffard Banane du Brésil, Fourpure Juicebox), Three Tides (Rum, Amaro Montenegro, Citrus, Salted Mead Syrup, Herbersura) and our signature Beer and a Bump with Umbrella Brewing Ginger Beer and Sparkling Cider (pictured below).
Inspired by the ethos of ‘good people who do good sh*t’, Filthy XIII opened in 2019 and is Ben Alcock’s second venue in Bristol – a no nonsense neighborhood cocktail bar inspired by the rebellious renegades that made up the original Dirty Dozen with ‘great cocktails, crappy beer and hot dogs’.
No Bookings, just rock up.
