February Non Specific

February’s Non-Specific sees James Balmont, keyboardist of Birmingham indie outfit Swim Deep, join us to show us his take on Non-Specific Rock ’n’ Roll on the 13th. He has a long history as a touring musician, but he’s scored some decent gigs as a DJ as well – with sets at Glastonbury, Benicassim and British Summertime in Hyde Park among the highlights of his disc jockey-ing career.

A cultured taste for ’70s rock, ’80s post-punk and ’90s indie has developed over years of managing boutique record store Lion Coffee + Records and working as a freelance music journalist. Expect to hear everything from Lou Reed, Pixies and The Replacements to Kleenex, The Fall and X-Ray Spex.
