Paddy’s Day 2020

Paddy's Day 2020

Excited though we were, there was no denying that this Paddy’s Day was different to years prior. March 17th 2020 was our last night of service before we made the tough decision to close our doors – albeit temporarily, to keep our staff and guests safe. And so, we did it with a big ole knees up. Joining us for the daylight shenanigans were a live Irish trad band, keeping spirits high and starting the dancing off early. We got a couple of kegs of Guinness in – as is tradition – for one night only and it started pouring from 12pm on the dot. Max and Noel Venning of locals favourite Three Sheets joined us on the bar from 6pm with a menu of Slane Irish Whiskey drinks including an Irish Coffee, White Russian, and Stone Fence on tap. Drew McConnell played a set to keep us up late with free oysters by the infamous Oyster Boy lining our stomachs and then… all was quiet. We’ll be back for a bigger than ever party as soon as we’re back open and next Paddy’s will be bigger than ever. Thanks to everyone who came down to support.
